The entire fixture is assembled from hundreds of curved glass components of varying lengths and radii, arranged in a staggered pattern. Carefully selected natural fused glass in three colors—translucent white, light champagne gold, and deep amber brown—is hand-blown and shaped at temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees Celsius. Each ribbon-like glass piece features a unique curved texture and arc, ensuring no two components are exactly alike, and exuding the natural, fluid quality inherent to handcrafted artistry.
The fixture features a horizontally flowing, streamlined silhouette, suspended by separate steel wires. The staggered, cascading curved glass tubes resemble wings fluttering in the breeze or golden satin formed from frozen water, with their graceful, fluid curves breaking away from the heavy, rigid forms of traditional chandeliers. The built-in, concealed warm-light source is housed within the top base. As light passes through the translucent glass and is filtered and refracted by amber-colored glass, it emits a warm, rich, golden glow. The light diffuses layer by layer along the curved glass surfaces, casting delicate and ever-changing patterns of light and shadow on the floor and walls. During the day, when natural light passes through floor-to-ceiling windows and illuminates the fixture, the glass refracts mottled colored light, adding a vibrant, natural ambiance to the space.
